This vital role involves managing the entire billing cycle from patient account setup to final payment, ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical claims. Additionally, you will handle medical records management, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and health insurance requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of medical billing procedures, coding standards, and electronic health record systems, contributing to a seamless revenue cycle process and excellent patient service. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive medical billing for inpatient and outpatient services using billing software and EMR/EHR systems. Code medical procedures and diagnoses accurately utilizing ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, and DRG coding standards in accordance with medical coding guidelines. Complete the entire revenue cycle process, including claim submission, follow-up on unpaid claims, and insurance third-party billing. Review and verify medical records to ensure completeness and accuracy for billing purposes. Process health insurance claims efficiently, resolving denials or rejections through appropriate follow-up and documentation. Maintain detailed records of all billing activities, payments, adjustments, and collections in compliance with healthcare regulations. Stay current with updates in medical coding practices, insurance policies, and healthcare regulations to ensure compliance and optimize reimbursement. Experience Proven experience in full cycle medical billing within a healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of

ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT

coding, and medical terminology essential for precise coding and billing. Familiarity with eCW or Athena systems for electronic health record management related to billing and coding processes. Experience handling health insurance claim processing, revenue cycle management, and medical collections. Knowledge of medical records management practices aligned with HIPAA regulations. Prior work experience in a busy medical office environment is highly preferred. Ability to interpret medical documentation accurately while adhering to coding guidelines for inpatient services.
