Quality improvement Medical billing Medical insurance appeals management 1 year Healthcare compliance Full Job Description Family Health Matters Community Health Center is seeking a detail-oriented Biller to support accurate and timely claims processing across our medical, dental, behavioral health, and vision services. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and has strong knowledge of Medi-Cal and FQHC billing. What You'll Do Submit accurate electronic and paper claims for FQHC encounters Process billing for medical, behavioral health, dental, optometry, and ECM services Review and resolve claim denials and submit appeals Work A/R aging reports and monitor timely filing requirements Ensure compliance with Medi-Cal, Medicare, and managed care billing requirements Collaborate with clinical and front office teams to support accurate encounter capture Participate in documentation and billing quality improvement efforts

What We're Looking For Required:

High school diploma or equivalent 2-3 years of medical billing experience Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding Experience working A/R and denial resolution

Preferred:

Do you have experience working claim denials and appeals? Are you familiar with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding? Do you have experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)? Do you have experience with FQHC PPS or T1015 encounter billing? How many years of accounts receivable (A/R) follow-up experience do you have? Please describe the types of payers you have billed (such as Medi-Cal, Medicare, managed care, or commercial insurance) and include any experience with FQHC or encounter-based billing if applicable.
