Medical Biller /
As our Medical Biller / Collections Representative, you'll play an essential role in ensuring our patients continue to receive the care they need by helping keep our revenue cycle running smoothly. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Biller / Collections Representative with a strong background in home health billing, insurance claims, accounts receivable, and collections. This is a flexible part-time, on-site opportunity that offers work-life balance while allowing you to make a meaningful impact every day. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims for home health services. Verify insurance eligibility and patient benefits. Follow up on unpaid claims, denials, and outstanding accounts receivable balances. Manage insurance and patient collections. Perform payment posting and EOB reconciliation. Handle denial management, claim corrections, and appeals. Complete eligibility and benefits verification. Assist with prior authorizations as needed. Maintain accurate billing records and documentation. Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and internal teams regarding billing matters. Support additional finance and administrative tasks as needed. What We're Looking For Experience with: Home Health billing and collections. Insurance claim submission, including Medicare, Medicaid/Medi-Cal, PPO, HMO, and commercial payers. Denial management and appeals. Accounts receivable (A/R) follow-up. Insurance and patient collections. Payment posting and EOB reconciliation. Eligibility and benefits verification. Prior authorizations (as needed). EMR/EHR and billing systems such as Kinnser, Waystar, Office Ally, or similar platforms. Strong attention to detail, organization, accuracy, and communication skills. Reporting Structure Reports directly to the Accounting Manager. Schedule Flexible part-time schedule. Choose the option that works best for you: Three full days per week, or Five days per week, 4 hours per day This is an on-site position. Compensation$28.00-$35.00 per hour , based on experience.
