We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller/Coding Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately preparing and submitting medical claims to insurance companies and ensuring timely reimbursement. Your attention to detail and knowledge of medical billing codes and procedures will contribute to the smooth operation of our healthcare facility.

Responsibilities:

Reviewing patient information and medical records to accurately code diagnoses and procedures Preparing and submitting medical claims to insurance companies Verifying insurance eligibility and coverage for patients Following up on unpaid claims and denials, and appealing when necessary Resolving billing discrepancies and answering patient inquiries regarding their bills Keeping up-to-date with changes in medical billing codes and regulations Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in healthcare administration or related field is a plus Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role In-depth knowledge of medical billing codes (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) and insurance guidelines Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in using medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages.
