We are seeking an experienced billing professional with knowledge of surgical billing, CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 coding, implant billing, charge capture, and clean claim submission . This position supports the ASC revenue cycle by reviewing surgical documentation, entering coded charges, capturing implant-related charges, submitting claims, and resolving billing or clearinghouse issues to help maximize reimbursement. • ASC / Surgical Billing Key Responsibilities; Surgical Billing & Charge Capture Enter charges provided by the coder accurately and timely Review operative documentation for procedures, diagnoses, surgical approaches, implants, and other billable services Ensure accurate CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, and modifier usage on surgical claims Review implant logs and invoices and accurately capture implant-related charges Ensure billing volume matches scheduled and coded surgical cases Medical Biller•ASC / Surgical Billing; Claims Submission & Follow-Up Prepare and submit clean claims to Commercial, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, HMO, Workers' Compensation, Personal Injury (PI), and other applicable payers Upload claims to the clearinghouse and verify payer acceptance Review rejected or non-accepted claims, correct issues, and resubmit promptly Submit secondary claims as needed Follow payer-specific requirements for surgical and implant billing Attach required documentation, including operative reports and implant invoices Follow payer contracts and requirements for implant carve-out billing Medical Biller•ASC / Surgical Billing ; Coding & Documentation Review complex operative reports for accurate diagnosis and procedure reporting Verify coding and documentation meet payer and ASC requirements Identify missing or inaccurate information that could delay reimbursement Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant billing documentation Medical Biller•ASC / Surgical Billing ; Revenue Cycle Support Communicate with payers regarding claim issues, denials, and documentation requests Work closely with surgeons, schedulers, coders, and revenue cycle staff to ensure accurate and timely billing Identify recurring billing, coding, or charge-capture issues and report patterns for process improvement Support development and maintenance of effective in-house ASC billing and coding workflows Medical Biller•ASC / Surgical Billing; Qualifications Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience ASC, surgery center, or surgical billing experience strongly preferred Proficiency with CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, and surgical claim modifiers Experience submitting and correcting claims through a clearinghouse Knowledge of Medicare, Medicare Advantage, PPO, HMO, commercial, and managed care billing Experience with implant billing and high-cost device claims preferred Familiarity with payer-specific documentation and reimbursement requirements Experience with EHR, practice management, and clearinghouse software Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills Experience billing multiple surgical specialties is highly desirable, including: Urology | Podiatry | ENT | Orthopedics | Pain Management | Gastroenterology (GI) Apply Today!
