Job Description

Full Job Description This is an in-office position. We are looking for a skilled and experienced medical biller/collector who can effectively and consistently generate revenue through professional billing practices and proper and ethical collection efforts. Duties The medical biller/collector is responsible for preparing and submitting patient bills for both insurance and private pay. You will generally act as an intermediary between our patients and their health insurance carrier. You must maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to all debt collection rules and regulations. You will handle billing and collections for various Insurance companies. You will be processing claim denials for patient accounts. All debt-related matters will be under your purview, and you will communicate regularly with insurance carriers and patients to pursue payments Help us accelerate the growth of our expanding practice! We are looking for an experienced Medical Collections Specialist to expand our Revenue Cycle Team and assist in collecting payments to ensure effective cash receipts. We operate in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment that requires fast thinking, outstanding organization skills and exceptional verbal communication skills.
Overview of Job Functions and Duties:
Follow-up on open and pending insurance claims to ensure collection within insurance company time limits. Have Knowledge of Insurance Companies and work with their guidelines. Prepare and submit insurance claim appeal letters. Assist Financial Services Manager in contacting patients regarding monies owed. Assist in claims charge entry and posting of payments. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and other regulations Other duties as assigned eClincalworks Experience Preferred

$22.00 - $23.00 per hour
