Biller to join our team at a newer and growing Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) . This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced medical biller to join our organization during an important stage of growth and help support an efficient, accurate, and well-organized billing and revenue cycle process. Biller will be responsible for preparing and submitting UB-04 institutional claims for outpatient surgical procedures , verifying insurance information, following up on unpaid and denied claims, and ensuring timely reimbursement for services provided at our Ambulatory Surgery Center. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ASC billing and UB-04 claims and will be comfortable working in a growing healthcare environment where attention to detail, organization, and teamwork are essential. claims for ASC outpatient surgical services . Review patient accounts, medical records, operative documentation, and coding information for completeness and accuracy. Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, authorizations, and payer requirements. Review and apply applicable CPT, HCPCS, and

ICD-10-CM

codes to support accurate claim submission. Ensure claims meet payer-specific requirements and applicable billing guidelines. Monitor submitted claims and follow up on unpaid, rejected, and denied claims. Research and resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies and resubmit or appeal claims when appropriate. Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status, reimbursement, denials, and payment issues. Maintain accurate documentation of billing activity, claim follow-up, adjustments, and collections. Work closely with ASC administrative, clinical, coding, and front-office staff to resolve billing and documentation issues. Maintain accurate patient and insurance information in EMR/EHR and billing systems. Help establish and maintain organized billing workflows as the ASC continues to grow. Stay current with payer requirements, ASC billing practices, coding guidelines, and reimbursement policies. Requirements Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience , preferably in an Ambulatory Surgery Center, outpatient surgical facility, or hospital outpatient setting . Hands-on experience with

institutional claims . Strong understanding of ASC and outpatient surgical billing . Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and medical terminology . Experience with insurance verification, authorizations, claim submission, denials, appeals, and payment follow-up. Experience working with commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and other healthcare payers. Proficiency with medical billing software and EMR/EHR systems . Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook . Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple claims and accounts while meeting deadlines. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate with a growing ASC team.
