We specialize in providing comprehensive orthopaedic medical care, including surgical procedures, physical and occupational therapy, as well as radiology and diagnostic MRI services. Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team at California Orthopaedic Institute. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring accurate billing processes and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Your contributions will directly support our mission to provide exceptional orthopaedic care to our patients. At the time we are looking for someone to assist with charge entry and payment posting. Responsibilities Process and submit medical billing claims accurately and timely using ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems. Post patient and payer payments in our Practice Management system. Review patient records to ensure all necessary documentation is complete for billing purposes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing regulations and compliance requirements. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their bills, payment options, and insurance coverage. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure accurate coding and billing practices are followed. Assist in maintaining organized medical records for all patients. Qualifications Experience in medical billing within a healthcare setting, preferably in orthopaedics. Strong knowledge of
ICD-10, ICD-9
coding, and medical terminology. Familiarity with medical collection processes and insurance verification procedures. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and insurance representatives. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
