Job Description

This position combines medical billing and insurance responsibilities with patient care coordination and front desk operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable communicating with patients, and has strong experience working with medical insurance, billing, and benefit verification. The candidate must be fluent in both English and Spanish and able to communicate professionally with patients in either language. Responsibilities Perform medical billing , including both electronic and paper claims Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits Understand and explain insurance benefits to patients Review patient information for billing and insurance accuracy Follow up on claims, billing issues, and insurance-related questions Communicate with insurance companies regarding eligibility, benefits, and claims Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments Check patients in and out of the office Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information Assist patients with billing, payment, and insurance questions Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Provide professional and friendly front desk support Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and other staff Perform other administrative and Patient Care Coordinator duties as needed Qualifications Fluent in English and Spanish - required 3+ years of medical billing and/or medical insurance experience preferred Experience with insurance verification and understanding patient benefits Experience with both electronic and paper medical billing Previous medical front desk, Patient Care Coordinator, or similar healthcare experience Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable speaking with patients by phone and in person Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a busy medical office environment Dependable, professional, and able to work effectively as part of a team Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who can confidently handle the billing and insurance side of the practice while also providing excellent front desk and patient support . The right candidate should be comfortable switching between insurance verification, billing tasks, answering phones, scheduling patients, and helping patients understand their benefits and financial responsibilities.
