Medical billing Medical terminology Full Job Description ExpressDocs Urgent Care Center is a state-of-the-art facility located in Delray Beach, Florida. We are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year, Monday

• Friday (8am
• 8pm) and weekends (9am
• 4pm).

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding and billing
• Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems
• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility for services
• Submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
• Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and resubmit as necessary
• Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries and disputes
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures, including DRG coding
• Proficiency in ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems
• Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of insurance guidelines and reimbursement processes Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times

Certification in medical billing or coding is preferred but not required Our facility is Non-Smoking. All employees hired at our facility must comply with a drug screening and background check. All references as well as work history will be verified.
