The University of Miami/UHealth Central Business Offcie has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Sr. Medical Posting Representative (H)to work in Miami, FL. The Senior Medical Posting Representative oversees the effective and accurate processing and posting of insurance payments and refund requests for the department. Additionally, he/she researches and troubleshoots rejections, and investigates potential refunds.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Assists supervising staff in maintaining quality control of all data. Identifies potential problems on vouchers and corrects them. Contacts physician offices, when vouchers lack sufficient information for payment of a claim, and educates them on proper claim coding. Processes all charge document batches and verifies total charges on batch ledger. Reviews encounter forms to ensure that required data elements are present. Checks patient registrations for financial class, enters appropriate authorizations, and makes sure encounters and co-pays are linked to patient visits. Communicates with management, physicians, and other relevant parties regarding code edits. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. CORE QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent/relevant experience, certification or license Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required Refer to department description for applicable certification requirementsty: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
Teamwork:
Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.
Technical Proficiency:
Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications. -

Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
