Job Description

We are a busy family-owned, patient-focused Orthopaedic practice in Ocala Florida, seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Biller/Coder to join our revenue cycle team. If you have strong coding accuracy, experience with Orthopaedic procedures, and a passion for maximizing reimbursements while ensuring compliance, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute high-quality patient care in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Accurately assigning ICD-10,CM,CPT and HCPCS codes for Orthpaedic office visits, surgeries. Review physician documentation for completeness, specificity, and compliance with coding guidelines. Prepare and submit clean claims to Insurance Carriers. Post charges, payments, and adjustments in the PM system. Manage claim denials, appeals, and follow-up to resolve any issues to reduce AR -days. Perform coding audits and collaborate with the front office and physicians to optimize revenue. Must have an active certification in CPC (AAPC), CCS-P, COSC (or equivalent). A minimum 2-3 years of recent medical Orthopaedic billing/coding, proficiency with EHR's and PM's, Familiarity with HIPPA and CMS guidelines. Preferred experience in trauma, sports medicine and joints.
