Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail oriented and dependable Revenue Cycle Assistant to join our growing medical practice. In this role, you will support the revenue cycle by resolving insurance claim issues, correcting billing errors, updating patient and insurance information, and assisting with patient account follow up. You will work closely with our billing team to help ensure claims are processed accurately and reimbursement is received in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is organized, enjoys problem solving, communicates professionally, and has excellent attention to detail. Duties Review unpaid, rejected, and denied insurance claims for correction and follow up. Update patient demographics and insurance information as needed. Contact insurance companies regarding claim status and reimbursement issues. Contact patients to obtain updated insurance or demographic information. Resolve claim edits and billing errors prior to resubmission. Process returned patient statements and update mailing information. Work assigned accounts receivable reports. Assist with medical records requests and documentation. Maintain accurate notes within the electronic medical record and practice management system. Collaborate with providers and staff to resolve billing related issues. Perform other revenue cycle and administrative duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous medical office, medical billing, insurance, or customer service experience preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance preferred. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management software is a plus. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. We are willing to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Previous revenue cycle experience is preferred but not required. Pay:
$37,440.00 - $41,600.00 per year
