Business Office Manager Position Summary DeKalb Pediatric Center is seeking a dependable and professional Pediatric Revenue Cycle Specialist to support daily back-end revenue cycle operations, including insurance payment posting, patient payment posting, charge entry, claim release, insurance appeals, and reimbursement follow-up. The ideal candidate must demonstrate professionalism, consistent and reliable attendance, punctuality, accountability, and effective communication . This position plays an important role in maintaining an efficient revenue cycle operation and requires a team member who can be relied upon to consistently meet their scheduled work commitments and responsibilities. Primary Responsibilities Post insurance ERA and manual EOB payments accurately and timely. Post patient payments and adjustments. Perform charge entry and release claims to clearinghouses and payers. Resolve claim edits and billing holds. Prepare and submit insurance appeals and reconsiderations. Follow up on unpaid and underpaid claims. Maintain accurate account documentation and payer communication notes. Support accounts receivable reduction initiatives. Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality. Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions with patients, providers, coworkers, management, and insurance representatives. Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality in accordance with the assigned Monday-Friday work schedule. Communicate promptly and professionally regarding work-related concerns, responsibilities, and required follow-up. Qualifications Minimum two years of medical billing or revenue cycle experience required. Pediatric billing experience preferred. Experience with EOB posting, appeals, and charge entry required. Experience with Medicat EMR preferred. CPC certification is a plus but not required for candidates with a strong pediatric billing background. Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and payer reimbursement methodologies preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Demonstrated professionalism, dependability, and accountability. Consistent and reliable attendance and punctuality are essential requirements of this position. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and complete assigned responsibilities within established deadlines.
