This role requires an expert understanding of complex cardiac rhythm management billing. You will be responsible for translating intricate EP operative notes into accurate claims, navigating strict 90-day global surgery periods, and maximizing revenue cycle efficiency for high-value cardiac procedures and office claims.

Key Responsibilities Complex Procedural Coding:

Code and review daily inpatient and outpatient claims for specialized EP procedures and office claims.

Navigate Global Surgery Rules:

Apply modifiers to bypass strict NCCI edits.

Claim Lifecycle Management:

Electronically submit primary and secondary claims via our clearinghouse. Monitor and resolve front-end rejections.

Denial Resolution & Appeals:

Conduct root-cause analysis on denied claims.

Payer Compliance Tracking:

Manage and monitor strict timely filing deadlines for Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid.

Provider Documentation Feedback:

Review clinical notes and issue formal queries to Providers when needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills Certification:

Active CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-based) designation is P referred.

Medical Biller & Coders Experience:

Minimum of 1-3 years of dedicated medical billing experience. Cardiology or Interventional Electrophysiology is a Plus .

Software Proficiency:

Hands-on experience navigating EMR and practice management billing modules is required. eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience is Preferred.

ICD-10/CPT

Knowledge:

1-3 years Preferred .

Communication Style:

Ability to discuss clinical billing guidelines clearly and directly with physicians, clinical staff, and insurance companies.
