Job Description
Job Summary A healthcare services organization in Shreveport, Bossier City, LA is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a billing professional who enjoys claims processing, denial research, payment posting, and helping ensure accurate reimbursement for services provided. As a Medical Biller, you will support a positive, team-focused office environment where accuracy, confidentiality, and dependable follow-through are valued. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to build a long-term career in healthcare billing while working with supportive leadership and a collaborative administrative team. Key Responsibilities
- Review rejected claims, identify errors, make corrections, and submit claims to payers for reimbursement.
- Receive EOBs, research denial reasons, and resubmit corrected claims as needed.
- Process manual and electronic remittances and post payments to the appropriate accounts.
- Contact insurance companies regarding delinquent accounts and claim status updates.
- Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly billing reports.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance while handling confidential patient, billing, and insurance information. Compensation and Benefits
Pay:
$17.00 to $19.00 per hour.Job Type:
