Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding of medical procedures, and facilitating timely collections. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding systems. Duties Review and verify patient information and insurance details for accuracy. Assign appropriate codes using
HCPCS, CPT
coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 standards. Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement. Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices. Must be able to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Familiarity with modifiers and diagnosis codes. Ability to multi-task Ability to work with others in a team base setting. Proper phone etiquette Experience A minimum of 2 years experience in medical billing or a related role is required. Familiarity with medical coding systems including ICD coding is essential. Experience with medical office operations and terminology is preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in billing processes. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.
