Full Job Description DUTIES:
THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION
  • NOT REMOTE...........
  • Review and analyze medical records and patient information to ensure accurate billing and coding
  • Assign appropriate medical codes using ICD-10.
  • Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement
  • Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and resolve any billing discrepancies
  • Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries and disputes
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Medical billing experience
  • prefer experience in Allscripts (Veradigm)practice management
  • Proven experience as a medical biller
  • prefer family practice experience
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems diagnosis and procedure billing procedures
  • Familiarity with medical collection processes and insurance claim submission requirements
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and billing software
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team
