Full Job Description DUTIES:
THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION
- NOT REMOTE...........
- Review and analyze medical records and patient information to ensure accurate billing and coding
- Assign appropriate medical codes using ICD-10.
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries and disputes
QUALIFICATIONS
- Medical billing experience
- prefer experience in Allscripts (Veradigm)practice management
- Proven experience as a medical biller
- prefer family practice experience
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems diagnosis and procedure billing procedures
- Familiarity with medical collection processes and insurance claim submission requirements
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and billing software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team
