Job Description
Job Overview Hudsonville Chiropractic is seeking a detail‑oriented Insurance Payment Posting Specialist to support our billing operations. This onsite role focuses on reviewing insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), determining patient responsibility or refunds, and accurately posting payments and adjustments into our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. This position does not require calling patients or insurance companies. Duties Review and reconcile insurance payments, patient payments, and adjustments to ensure accuracy in the billing system Post payments using billing software, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems with attention to detail Identify and resolve discrepancies. Collaborate with medical office staff to verify medical records and ensure proper documentation for claims processing Manage healthcare claims management processes by tracking unpaid or denied claims Maintain comprehensive records of all payment transactions, adjustments, and correspondence related to medical collections Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries from insurance carriers, patients, and internal teams regarding payment statuses Review and interpret insurance EOBs for chiropractic services. Identify insurance payments, patient balances, and refund needs. Post payments, adjustments, and corrections into the EHR system. Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation. Communicate account findings and discrepancies to the doctor and front‑office billing team. Collaborate with onsite billers to ensure complete and accurate account records. Required Qualifications Prior medical or chiropractic billing experience. Strong understanding of insurance payment structures and EOB interpretation. Experience with medical EHR systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Word. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods. Work Details 1099 independent contractor role. 15-20 hours per month with flexible scheduling during office hours. Onsite at Hudsonville Chiropractic in
