Job Description
Overview:
Part-time biller position with at least 2-3 years' experience. Job responsibility will be working on rejected claims only. This position will be 2-3 days a week depending on the workload.Responsibilities:
Resolving rejected claim issues to ensure payment of claim, Ensuring all rejected claims are worked in timely fashion.- Researching rejections which include calling insurances to help understand what needs to be corrected Following through on resubmission of claim based on insurance requirements. Answering telephone calls from insurance carriers, providing complete and accurate information to resolve any claim
- related issue.
Skills:
- Proficiency in medical coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10) and medical terminology
- Strong understanding of medical billing processes and insurance guidelines
- Experience with medical office software and billing systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
