Michigan Head & Spine Institute has an immediate full time Medical Biller position available for our large, high volume neurosurgery practice. MHSI is the largest, most experienced group of physicians in Southeast Michigan dedicated to treating patients with disorders of the head and spine.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities include:

Post payments from insurance carrier, patient or any other source Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contracts Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments or erroneous rejections as necessary Follow up on unpaid claims within required time frame Appeal insurance denials as appropriate Answer all patient or insurance telephone inquiries pertaining to assigned accounts Additional responsibilities as needed Qualified candidate must have knowledge of insurance guidelines and must possess a high school diploma or equivalent along with 2 - 3 years experience in Medical Billing.
