None Position Summary The Dental Biller for Charlotte Community Health Clinic is responsible for dental insurance claims, dental payments, denials, and appeals. They will collect and post payments from both patients and insurance companies, keep track of dental patient accounts, and communicate billing information with patients. The Dental Biller will keep a monthly record of dental claims for reporting purposes. They will also help with prior authorizations as needed. CCHC Core Requirements Patient Centered Customer Service

Key Responsibilities Arranges payments, manages accounts, and monitors/tracks delinquent accounts. Regularly follows up with dental staff to ensure all patient encounter information is charted before sending claims. Utilizes dental knowledge to accurately record treatments on the billing statements. Creates and establishes payment methods with patients for delinquent accounts, tracks payments, and follows up with patients when gaps in payment occur. Collects outstanding balances from patients. Sends monthly statements to patients. Provides requested dental billing reports as needed. Submits proper documentation to appeal insurance denials. Educates patients on the billing process. Maintains the highest level of confidentiality in work. Follows all policies and procedures of the clinic. Reports any compliance issues to supervisor. Consistently maintains quality results by following the clinic's policies and procedures. Participates in job enhancing opportunities such as training and seminars. Serves CCHC's clinical population by adhering to all local, state, and federal laws. Contributes to the team by sharing creative input and challenging ideas. Timely filing of insurance claims, electronically and/or by paper. Reviews and corrects claims as needed. Reviews information necessary for insurance claims such as patient, insurance ID, diagnosis and treatment codes and modifiers, and provider information to ensure clean claim submission. Regularly meets with supervisor to report issues or obstacles with regard to clean claim dental billing and to report trends or issues with insurance reimbursement. Performs other duties as assigned. Regularly meets with the Dental Billing committee to keep them abreast of updates in the dental billing arena. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Valid NC driver's license and reliable transportation. Previous medical or dental billing experience is required. Other Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong customer service skills. Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Able to adapt and shift in a dynamic environment. Excellent time management skills. Ability to work independently and as a team.
