Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Medical Collections Specialist to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the collection of outstanding medical accounts, ensuring timely resolution of claims, and maintaining positive relationships with patients. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment committed to delivering exceptional patient service and accurate financial operations. This position offers income growth potential with an hourly wage plus commission compensation structure. Responsibilities Answer incoming phone calls from patients that are inquiring about their healthcare bills. Review and analyze claim to accurately communicate with patient. Resolve discrepancies related to medical records, billing errors, or insurance denials efficiently and professionally Maintain detailed documentation of collection efforts and account status updates within software system. Monitor healthcare claims management processes to optimize collections and reduce outstanding balances Prepare reports on collection activities and account statuses for management review Support audit preparations by maintaining accurate records of all collection efforts Skills Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse stakeholders Attention to detail in verifying medical terminology, coding accuracy, and financial data Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment If you are passionate about healthcare finance and possess the skills necessary to excel in medical collections, we encourage you to apply.
