GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Responsible for computerized billing of all procedures, tests, and hospital visits as well as related follow up
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for the computerized billing of all procedures, tests, hospital visits, etc., for in-patient, outpatient, office, and freestanding facilities Handle all billing and insurance related telephone calls Print and interpret billing reports, credit balance, insurance pending, practice activity Attend coding seminars as required Enter patient demographics in the computer and call hospitals and/or patients for insurance information as necessary Print weekly schedules for physicians' meeting; note unusual occurrences Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED required. Training in Billing/Coding with Certifcate Required.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of billing practices and CPT and ICD10 coding . Strong medical terminology. Adherence to all policies and procedures, including confidentiality, safety, performance, attendance, punctuality, and personal grooming and appearance. Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to speak and write in a professional, courteous, and concise manner. Accept and utilize feedback and constructive criticism.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS
: Medical office environment. Work may be stressful at times. Interaction with others is constant and interruptive. Full-time (Mondays through Fridays), 40 hours per week plus overtime as needed in our Eatontown, NJ office.
