Job Summary:
The Jewish Home Family leads the way in quality and innovative care, service and guidance for older adults and their loved ones and is currently seeking a full-time (onsite) financial advocate with strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of long-term care billing, the billing cycle and knowledge of NJ Medicaid. The Financial Advocate plays a vital role in the connection between our patients, elders, families, and insurance companies. The Financial Advocate is responsible for verification of benefits, addressing any admission or insurance concerns from patients/caregivers, delivery of insurance benefit information, collection of private pay balances, coordination of Medicaid authorizations and billing as well as maintaining financial records. The Financial Advocate must conduct face-to-face conversations, telephone interaction , electronic data entry and billing and must maintain aspects of the patient financial record. . This is an on-site positionEssential Functions:
Coordinates the process of patient eligibility through various third party sources Coordinates and tracks patient Medicaid authorizations and claim submissions Tracking current collections in Point Click Care Handles patient inquiries Answer telephone promptly and in a polite and professional manner Obtain and enter accurate information in Point Click Care Identifies and resolves patient billing problems Post payments, adjustments, transfer of responsibility and refunds as necessary Reconciles daily and monthly occupancy reportsBenefits
