Medical Biller & Credentialing Specialist - Pediatric Speech, OT & ABA Reno-Tahoe Therapy Group | Reno / Carson City, NV Full-time only

• 8 hours/day

• Monday-Friday We're a clinician-owned pediatric clinic serving families across the Reno-Tahoe area with speech therapy, occupational therapy, and ABA. We treat kids like family and run a small team. This is a one-person billing and credentialing role for the whole practice. You will own the revenue cycle for speech, OT, and ABA — eligibility, authorizations, claims, payments, denials, appeals, and AR — and keep clinicians credentialed with payers so billing can actually go out. You won't be one person in a large billing department. You'll be the person who runs billing and credentialing here, with direct access to the clinic director and the clinical team when you need information or a documentation fix. I'm the clinic director. I read every application myself and will actually call or email you. No ghosting. This role is for someone who Wants to own billing and credentialing, not just process claims Follows work through to the end Notices issues early and handles them Keeps AR from sitting and payer enrollment from stalling Communicates clearly with clinicians, payers, and families Takes pride in accuracy and follow-through If you like being the billing and credentialing person for a small practice - not a ticket in a queue - this fits. What you'll do Billing Submit clean, timely claims for speech (e.g. 92507), OT (e.g. 97530), and ABA (e.g. 97151, 97153, 97155) to Nevada Medicaid and commercial payers Verify eligibility and benefits; track and obtain authorizations / re-authorizations so care doesn't stall Post payments, reconcile EOBs, and actively manage accounts receivable Work denials and underpayments — correct, resubmit, and appeal until resolved Partner with clinicians and front office when documentation or coding needs a fix Keep records accurate and HIPAA-tight Flag payer-policy changes that affect pediatric therapy billing Credentialing Complete and track provider enrollment and credentialing with Medicaid and commercial payers Maintain CAQH / payer profiles, licenses, NPI, insurance, and supporting documents Follow up on pending applications, re-credentialing, and demographic updates Coordinate with clinicians to collect what's needed so files stay complete Keep a clear tracker of who is in-network, pending, or due for renewal Schedule Full-time only 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (Monday-Friday) Clinic hours — no evenings, no weekends What we're looking for 2+ years of medical billing (pediatric therapy, ABA, speech, or OT strongly preferred) Experience with provider credentialing / payer enrollment (or strong willingness to own it and learn our payers quickly) Comfort with CPT/ICD-10, modifiers, unit-based ABA billing, and Medicaid + commercial rules Experience with a practice-management / EMR system and a clearinghouse (we'll train on ours) Strong ownership, organization, and follow-through Calm and professional with payers and families Comfortable working independently as the practice's biller and credentialing lead Nice to have: CentralReach, Raintree, or similar pediatric/ABA software; CAQH; CPB or equivalent; Nevada Medicaid experience.
