Job Description

PRINE health is looking for a new team member! We are seeking a Medical Biller cross-trained with Front Desk who is motivated and focused on improving patient care, willing to learn different roles in the office. This team member will play a vital role in the success of the revenue cycle. Candidates must display excellent analytical skills, display teamwork, and work efficiently to prepare claims for submission.
Duties and responsibilities:
Answers phones and assists patients with scheduling appointments Performs additional duties including but not limited to recording payment, faxing information as required, generating authorization requests, and verifying insurance eligibility. Review and analyze patient records to identify relevant diagnoses and procedures for coding. Prepare and submit accurate claims to insurance companies and follow up on unpaid claims. Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary pre-authorizations for procedures. Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses and procedures. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations. Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to inquiries from patients and insurance companies. Keep up-to-date with changes in coding standards and insurance regulations. Generate and review reports to ensure accuracy and completeness of billing data. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 year of Medical office and billing required. Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams Excellent customer service skills Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
