Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Coder to join our growing healthcare team. The Medical Coder plays an essential role in supporting quality patient care, efficient operations, and accurate reimbursement by ensuring medical services are properly documented, coded, and communicated. Key Responsibilities:
Review medical records and clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on provider documentation. Ensure coding practices comply with current coding guidelines, regulations, and payer requirements. Identify documentation discrepancies and work with clinical and administrative teams to obtain clarification when needed. Maintain high standards of coding accuracy, productivity, confidentiality, and compliance. Stay current with coding updates, regulatory changes, payer policies, and industry best practices. Assist with quality improvement and revenue-cycle initiatives. Support accurate and timely claim submission and reimbursement. Cross-train in multiple specialties and coding areas as business needs require.
Specialty Areas:
The selected candidate will eventually be cross-trained in the following specialties: Endovascular Brain Spine Pediatric Neuroendovascular Interventional Pain Management EMG X-Ray Doppler/Ultrasound Interventional Radiology (IR)
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous medical coding experience preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and medical coding guidelines. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team. Strong computer, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet productivity and accuracy expectations. CPC, CCS, CCA, or other relevant coding certification
REQUIRED.
