Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical collector and Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accurate coding, and maintaining medical records, collect payments, finish AR report. This role is essential in ensuring that our medical office operates efficiently and that all billing and collecting procedures comply with regulations. The Medical Biller/collector will work closely with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to facilitate the billing process. Responsibilities Accurately code medical diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10 coding systems. Process patient billing and claims submissions to insurance companies. Review and verify patient information and medical records for accuracy. Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any discrepancies or issues with insurance providers. Maintain organized medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any coding or billing questions. Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices. Assist in the training of new staff members on billing procedures and systems. Requirements Proven experience in medical billing, with a strong understanding of medical terminology. Proficiency in

ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG

coding, and other relevant coding systems. Familiarity with medical office operations and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives. Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards related to billing practices. Certification in medical coding or billing is a plus but not required.
