If you are interested in expanding your knowledge of healthcare insurance and claims management this might be the role for you. This position is full-time with a work schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM.

- Handles telephone and email conversations in a courteous and professional manner. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Confirm case information/patient name/DOB prior to entry
- Enter patient demographic and insurance information into system
- Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures
- Utilize payer web portals to check eligibility and update claim status
- Review claims prior to submission to ensure clean claims
- Track and rectify electronic claim rejections
- Complete follow-up on aged accounts as directed
- Review patient billing statements prior to send out
- Adhere to HIPAA confidentiality protocols
- Answer patient phone calls regarding billing inquiries
- Generate billing reports and provide updates to management Perform all other related duties as assigned Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1-year medical billing experience or medical office experience
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Outlook and Excel
