Why You'll Love It Here Full Health, Dental & Vision coverage Company-paid Disability & Life Insurance 401(k) with up to 4% match Tuition reimbursement Paid time off You'll be part of a close-knit, supportive team that takes pride in helping Veterans and those who care for them What You'll Do Accurately bill and follow up on medical claims (avg. 60 claims/day) Be the go-to liaison between VCP's clients and the Veterans Administration Contact third-party payers and get accounts resolved quickly Identify issues and areas for improvement, while suggesting timely resolutions to help the team keep improving Keep meticulous, accurate documentation and audit trails (accuracy and grammar count!) Report on any UB and 1500 validation issues to your supervisor Provide daily progress reports to your supervisor Ensure compliance with HIPAA and company policy regarding PHI and other policies and procedures Participate in staff meetings, auditing, process improvements, and goal setting All other duties as required What You Bring High school diploma (Medical Billing/Coding certificate a big plus) 2+ years of medical billing and/or insurance collections experience Comfortable with Microsoft Word & Excel (advanced Excel skills preferred) Familiarity with hospital systems like Meditech, EPIC, or Cerner Experience with claims platforms like SSI or Quadax Strong written and communication skills, you'll be writing professional correspondence and documenting accounts with precision

$23.00 - $29.00 per hour
