Overview We are seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and experienced Chiropractic Biller to join our dynamic healthcare team on-site (in-house) . Our growing chiropractic practice has multiple locations and a high patient volume, making accuracy, efficiency, and strong follow-through essential to our billing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with chiropractic medical billing, insurance claims, CPT and ICD-10 coding, collections, and insurance follow-up . Experience with Medisoft and/or ChiroTouch is strongly preferred; however, training will be provided to the right candidate. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the full billing cycle for chiropractic services, from reviewing documentation and submitting claims to following up on denials, resolving billing discrepancies, and assisting with outstanding patient and insurance balances. Your expertise will help maximize reimbursement, maintain accurate accounts, and support the financial success of our practice while ensuring compliance with applicable billing standards. Key Responsibilities Accurately review and apply CPT and

ICD-10-CM

codes for chiropractic procedures, services, and diagnoses. Prepare, submit, and monitor insurance claims using Medisoft and/or ChiroTouch . Review patient charts and medical records to ensure documentation supports services billed and meets insurance requirements. Verify insurance information, benefits, authorizations, and other billing requirements as needed. Follow up promptly on unpaid, rejected, and denied claims and take appropriate action to resolve outstanding balances. Investigate and correct billing discrepancies, claim errors, and payment issues. Process insurance payments, adjustments, and patient balances accurately. Assist with accounts receivable and medical collections , including appropriate follow-up with insurance companies and patients. Maintain accurate and organized records of claims, payments, denials, correspondence, and collection activities. Communicate professionally with insurance carriers, patients, providers, and internal staff regarding billing and reimbursement matters. Work closely with chiropractic providers and office staff to ensure accurate documentation and billing of services rendered. Monitor accounts receivable and identify aging or problematic accounts requiring additional attention. Stay informed regarding changes to CPT, ICD-10, insurance policies, chiropractic billing requirements, and applicable healthcare regulations . Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and other applicable compliance requirements. Perform other billing and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Proven experience in medical billing , preferably in a chiropractic or similar outpatient healthcare setting. Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10-CM, medical terminology, and insurance billing practices . Experience with chiropractic billing procedures and insurance reimbursement is highly preferred. Proficiency with Medisoft and/or ChiroTouch is preferred, but training may be provided to the right candidate. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and electronic claims submission. Strong understanding of medical records, documentation requirements, and billing compliance. Demonstrated experience with insurance follow-up, denials, appeals, accounts receivable, and collections . Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify billing and coding discrepancies. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage a high volume of claims and patient accounts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with providers and office staff. Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is an experienced chiropractic biller who understands the importance of clean claims, accurate coding, timely follow-up, and effective collections . You should be comfortable working with a high volume of accounts, communicating with insurance companies, investigating claim issues, and taking ownership of outstanding balances. Experience with Medisoft or ChiroTouch is a major plus , but we are willing to train a motivated candidate who has a strong medical billing background and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
