Northeast Rehab is an independent medical practice helping patients for over 30 years, specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neurology, and many additional subspecialties. We are hiring a full-time medical biller in our Scranton location. As a key member of our billing department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical claims and payments.

Duties include:

Reviewing and verifying accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information. Submitting electronic claims to insurance companies and follow up on outstanding claims. Processing payments from insurance companies and patients. Handling inquiries from patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing issues. Maintaining confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements:

Prior medical office billing experience required. Knowledge of medical coding, terminology, and billing processes Knowledge of insurances and payors. Experience working with medical records and EMR systems - Medent experience a plus! Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
