The CPC provides exceptional customer service by ensuring a positive patient experience for new and seasoned patients alike. Qualifications At least 1 year of Billing experience. At least 2 years of coding experience Must hold a current CPC license. Sufficient knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes. Computer proficiency with Windows and Outlook experience. Good decision-making, communication, and organizational skills. Must be able to multi-task and be flexible to accommodate the needs of their department due to the ever changing healthcare field. Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines. Job Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Selection and coding of diagnoses and procedures.

Maintaining patient billing records. Working insurance claims and appeals. Staying up to date on payer guidelines. Answering general billing questions. Answering incoming phone lines in a welcoming and professional manner. Checking voicemail lines and returning calls in a timely manner. Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
