1 day on-site, 4 days remote, with flexibility to vary.•
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:30
PM Purpose Statement/Position Summary:
The Collection Representative is responsible for the billing and follow-up related to HMO's, PPO's, Medi-Cal, CCS, GHPP, PCCM's Managed Care and outside organizations. Responds to inquiries and resolves problems regarding billing and collection matters. The Collection Rep will analyze financial documents, identify discrepancies, and resolve billing issues. Will need strong problem-solving skills to help in effectively managing accounts and ensuring timely collections. Will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in billing and collections. Strong organizational skills are required to manage multiple accounts, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
Required:
1 year experience of hospital Billing and Collections required, including insurance and government payers.
Preferred:
Previous experience with facility claims for inpatient and or outpatient billing for commercial and managed care payers. Familiarity with medical billing processes, insurance claims, and understanding of medical coding (such as
ICD-10, CPT
). Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software. Knowledge of CCS, Medi-Cal, and GHPP.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Required:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Preferred:
Certificate or degree in healthcare background.

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
