Ankle & Foot Specialists of Puget Sound is seeking a full-time Medical Biller to join our growing billing department. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work both in our Puyallup office and remotely while supporting a busy multi-provider podiatry practice. What You'll Do As a Medical Biller, you'll play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement while working closely with our providers, billing team, and office staff.
Responsibilities include:
Reviewing and submitting insurance claims Following up on unpaid and denied claims Posting insurance payments and adjustments Working insurance and patient accounts receivable Communicating with insurance companies regarding claim status Researching and resolving billing discrepancies Answering patient billing questions Working collaboratively with providers and clinic staff to resolve documentation and billing issues Learning additional billing responsibilities as you grow within the department What We're Looking For Previous medical billing experience required Knowledge of medical insurance, claim processing, and accounts receivable Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize and manage a high-volume workload Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills Dependable with a positive attitude Strong communication and teamwork skills We're looking for someone who is dependable, patient, and enjoys contributing to a positive team environment. Podiatry or surgical specialty billing experience is a plus, but not required.
