Job Description
Chicago Cardiology Institute (CCI) invites you to become a key team member in our premier Chicagoland cardiology practice as an experienced Billing Coder. We are looking to fill a full-time position. Why Work at CCI?

Responsibilities include:
- Ensure medical codes are applied correctly during the billing process, which includes assigning the appropriate codes, and creating a claim to be paid by insurance carriers.
- Perform coding for office visits, testing and surgical procedures,
- Enter and submit surgical and office charges,
- Post payments, analyze and solve patient claims,
- Follow up on insurance denials, correct claims and prepare appeal letters as needed.
- Communicate with staff, insurance companies, answer phones, and miscellaneous duties as assigned including accounts receivable.
- Other duties as assigned to support the operation of the billing team and clinic Qualifications include:
- High School Diploma/ GED
- Knowledge of medical insurance and terminology
- Knowledge of ICD-10 Coding, certification preferred
- Ability to use office equipment including phone, computer, copier
- Professional, calm demeanor Position may be remote or on-site depending on needs of the practice.
