Responsibilities include:
  • Ensure medical codes are applied correctly during the billing process, which includes assigning the appropriate codes, and creating a claim to be paid by insurance carriers.
  • Perform coding for office visits, testing and surgical procedures,
  • Enter and submit surgical and office charges,
  • Post payments, analyze and solve patient claims,
  • Follow up on insurance denials, correct claims and prepare appeal letters as needed.
  • Communicate with staff, insurance companies, answer phones, and miscellaneous duties as assigned including accounts receivable.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the operation of the billing team and clinic Qualifications include:
  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • Knowledge of medical insurance and terminology
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 Coding, certification preferred
  • Ability to use office equipment including phone, computer, copier
  • Professional, calm demeanor Position may be remote or on-site depending on needs of the practice.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
