Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dermatology Medical Assistant/Medical Biller to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities Assist dermatologists with patient intake, including collecting medical histories, vital signs, and preparing patients for examinations Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support procedures to support patient care Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of medical encounters, procedures, and treatment plans Conduct ICD coding and maintain detailed medical records to facilitate billing and insurance claims processing Handle insurance verifications, claim submissions, follow-ups, and resolve billing discrepancies with clarity and professionalism Support administrative duties including scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and maintaining organized medical documentation Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure compliance with hospital medicine standards, emergency protocols, and clinic policies Skills Extensive knowledge of dermatology practices alongside hospital medicine, urgent care, and emergency medicine environments Proven experience in medical office management, including EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medication administration Skilled in patient service delivery with excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care Ability to perform phlebotomy and vital signs collection accurately in outpatient or inpatient settings Familiarity with hospital experience or Level I Trauma Center protocols is a plus Demonstrated ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in medical documentation and billing processes Join us in making a difference by providing exceptional dermatological care combined with efficient administrative support.
