This position combines medical billing responsibilities with front office administrative support. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and experience working in a medical office environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Medical Billing Responsibilities Follow up on outstanding medical insurance claims. Prepare and submit claim appeals as needed. Process and monitor patient balances and patient statements. Manage collection accounts and communicate with collection agencies when appropriate. Ensure timely and accurate reimbursement from insurance carriers. Maintain accurate billing documentation and patient account records. Office Assistant Responsibilities Answer incoming telephone calls and route them to the appropriate staff members. Process and maintain medical records. File medical records into patient charts accurately and promptly. Assist with general office administrative duties as assigned. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Provide excellent customer service to patients, providers, and staff. Qualifications Previous experience in medical billing and medical office administration preferred. Knowledge of insurance claims, appeals, patient billing, and collections. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office equipment. Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma or equivalent required; medical billing certification is a plus. Reporting Structure This position reports directly to the Office Supervisor . We are looking for a motivated individual who is committed to providing excellent administrative and billing support while contributing to the success of our medical practice.
