Job Description

IPA Management Partners, LLC is a privately owned Medical Billing and Administration Company that oversees medical accounts within Central Texas. Our Billing Team is composed of charge posters (medical coders), payment posters and account receivable specialist. We are team oriented and are looking to bring on a candidate who is looking to expand their medical billing knowledge and who wants to be part of a thriving team. Job Summary The primary function of Charge Poster is to assist in the facilitation of the billing process in a timely fashion. Duties and responsibilities Reviews exams and procedure notes for accuracy Correctly and accurately inserts procedure codes with ICD-10 diagnosis Reviews Deficiency Reports for all charges posted Reviews Claim Procedure Reports Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or GED required 1 to 2 years' experience in ICD and CPT coding OR CPC Certification, a combination of experience and certification preferred Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft office to include Excel, Outlook required Ability to type a minimum of fifty (50) words per minute Ability to enter data professionally into billing software with minimal error rate Ability to multitask and work independently Strong, professional communication skills Team player Positive attitude and adaptable to change Strong internal and external customer service skills Basic medical terminology Familiarity with various insurance programs: Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, Commercial payers Ability to follow all Federal, State and Local regulations Utilization of office equipment: fax machine, scanner, basic computer programs, phone lines Working Conditions Minimal standing for long periods of time Completion of eight (8) hour shifts in a medical office setting Dress in proper business attire Physical requirements Minimal lifting up to fifty (50) pounds Sit for extended periods of time not to exceed five (5) hours in length Benefits 3 Medical plans to choose from 2 Dental plans to choose from A Vision Plan The company provides life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance.
