Medical billing Organizational skills Medical claims submission Typing Medical Billing Certification Home health agency experience Medical debt collection accounts Patient collections management Full Job Description Health Care Unlimited, Inc. is seeking an experienced Level 3 Medical Billing Clerk to support the accurate and timely completion of billing, collections, and accounts‑receivable functions for our Home Health Care Agency. This role is essential to ensuring clean claims, compliant billing practices, and strong communication with payers, clients, and internal teams. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least two years of billing and collections experience in a Home Health Care setting. General knowledge of medical coding and billing software. Ability to type 60 WPM or more. Strong communication and public‑relations skills. Demonstrated autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish . Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience using office equipment such as multi‑line phone systems, copiers, fax machines, and scanners. Knowledge of home health billing workflows and payer requirements. Key Responsibilities Complete and submit accurate billing for Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and client/patient accounts . Verify insurance benefits and eligibility prior to claim submission. Monitor claim status and follow up on denials, corrections, and additional documentation requests. Maintain organized accounts‑receivable records and support timely collections. Communicate with insurance companies, clients, and internal departments to resolve billing issues. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer‑specific billing regulations. Utilize billing software and electronic systems to process claims and maintain documentation. Support general office functions as needed, including scanning, faxing, and document management.
