Position:
Medical Biller/ Office Assistant Overview:
We are seeking a detail oriented Medical Biller/Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical billing processes, coding systems, and the relevant terminology necessary to ensure accurate billing and coding practices.
Responsibilities:
Oversee day to day office operations and responsibilities. Review and verify the accuracy of billing data, correcting any errors as needed. Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies promptly and accurately. Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframes. Utilize medical coding to ensure compliance with federal regulations. Process payments from insurance companies and patients effectively. Resolve billing issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.
Experience:
Medical billing Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems. Experience in medical collections. Ability to navigate medical records for billing purposes. Strong understanding of medical billing procedures and compliance requirements.
