In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the billing and collections process to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for medical services rendered. Your expertise will help streamline revenue cycles, improve cash flow, and enhance patient satisfaction by providing clear communication and efficient resolution of billing issues. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment where your skills directly impact patient care and organizational success. Duties Prepare, review, and submit medical claims using billing software, ensuring accuracy with CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) coding standards. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims by contacting insurance companies and patients to resolve discrepancies or obtain additional information. Maintain detailed records of all billing activities, including payment histories, adjustments, and collections efforts within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems. Communicate effectively with patients regarding outstanding balances, payment plans, and insurance coverage to facilitate timely collections while providing excellent customer service. Monitor healthcare claims management processes to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and insurance policies. Reconcile accounts receivable by identifying overdue accounts and initiating collection procedures in accordance with organizational policies. Stay updated on healthcare industry changes related to ICD coding updates, CPT coding revisions, and insurance claim requirements to ensure ongoing compliance. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and medical coding practices including
