Job Description
We are seeking an experienced full-time Medical Biller/Coder for a fast-paced OB-GYN clinic near Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland. At Center for Women's Health, we are committed to providing excellent, comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in a warm environment. This is not a level entry position - candidate must have minimum of 2 years' experience as a medical coder with clinical billing knowledge. Experience coding for OB-GYN and/or familiar with Athena EMR software a big plus. This individual must successfully demonstrate the following attributes:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs charge review to analyze and assure the final ICD-10 and CPT codes, as stated by the practicing providers, are valid and complete to submit claims to insurance payers Interprets operative reports and charge documents to accurately code in-office procedures, hospital surgeries and triage services for providers to ensure proper reimbursement Helps to maintain updated coding requirements, government regulations and insurance payer requirements regarding billing Investigation of unpaid claims; research procedures, diagnosis codes and insurance policies to ensure denied claims get corrected and paid Broad billing responsibilities also include insurance verification, report creation, patient estimates and collections payment posting Provides real-time support to clinical staff, office staff and patients with billing inquiriesREQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Coding Certification and/or college degree preferred
- CPT and HCPCS coding
- ICD-10 Coding
- Knowledge of Anatomy/Physiology/Medical Terminology (OB-GYN a plus)
- Ability to analyze data given to provide appropriate information to insurance companies
- Understanding of revenue cycle functions such as admission, billing, payments and denials
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word Pay will be determined by level of experience
