Prior Authorizations Experience Minimum Qualifications:
Abide by insurance coding rules & regulations Obtain prior authorization for procedures in office and surgery center Verify eligibility prior to patient arrival Generate reports for accounts receivable review Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments Contact insurance payers for appeals and reconsiderations Process payments and refunds Post charges for services rendered Resolve billing and customer issues Cross train with other billing staff to gain experience in new tasks Attend all required meetings to include in office and after hours as required Complete projects given by supervisor or manager Language Skills Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and technical procedures Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and supervisors Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Understands and follows corporate Safety and Compliance Programs Understands and complies with operational and personnel policies and procedures Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent One year of experience with claims follow up in a medical practiceBenefits:
