Job Description
Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate billing for medical services provided to patients. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, and the billing process within a medical office environment. Responsibilities Follow up on medical billing claims and take appropriate action to process and pay claim. Follow up on outstanding patient balances, set up payment plans and contract patients regarding statements. Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines related to medical billing and coding. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for efficient data management. Communicate professionally with patients, clients and co-workers. Experience Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or a related field is required. Strong understanding of medical terminology and the healthcare industry. Experience with EMR/EHR systems is highly desirable. Previous work in a medical office setting is beneficial. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
