Washington Regional Urgent Care, part of the Urgent Team network, is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant or Limited License X-Ray Tech to join our patient-first, community-focused team. In this role, you will support providers with clinical tasks, obtain vitals, perform CLIA-waived lab tests, administer medications per protocol, and, if licensed, perform basic radiographic imaging. You'll help manage patient flow, ensure accurate documentation, and maintain a clean, safe environment while delivering compassionate, efficient care to every patient, every visit. Responsibilities Greet, triage, and room patients, obtaining accurate vital signs and medical histories Document patient information and clinical data in the electronic health record (EHR) clearly and completely Perform point-of-care tests (e.g., strep, flu, COVID, UA, glucose) and report results to providers Assist providers with exams, minor procedures, wound care, and splinting as directed Administer vaccines and injections per provider orders and clinic protocols, if credentialed For LLRTs, perform limited-scope X-rays using proper positioning, technique, and radiation safety practices Maintain infection control standards, including appropriate use of PPE and proper cleaning of rooms and equipment Restock exam rooms and treatment areas, helping to ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinic environment Provide courteous, compassionate communication to patients and families, explaining procedures and instructions Support front-desk operations as needed, including registration, insurance verification, and copay collection to support smooth patient flow Collaborate with providers, nurses, and fellow staff to ensure timely, efficient patient care and positive clinic operations Required Skills Vital signs measurement Patient triage and intake Electronic health records (EHR) documentation Phlebotomy and specimen collection Medication administration per protocol Limited-scope radiography (if LLRT) X-ray positioning and imaging safety (if LLRT) Infection control and PPE use EKG acquisition Point-of-care testing (strep, flu, COVID, UA, glucose, etc.) Medical terminology Basic wound care and splinting assistance Vaccine and injection administration Front-desk support and patient registration Insurance and copay collection HIPAA compliance Customer service and patient communication multitasking in fast-paced setting
