Description of responsibilities:
Under general supervision, is responsible for scanning all court documents into ONBASE in a timely fashion; managing of case docketing, entering all pleadings into AJACS Case Management software using the correct event codes; process E-filing documents; compiling files for the courtroom calendar and checking the files against AJACS to make sure they are complete for court; is responsible for entering all into AJACS using the correct event codes; Filing all scanned documents into the correct files and performing other administrative duties.
  • Greeting customers, both by telephone and in person, in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Maintaining a professional work environment and complying with the company's dress code policy.
  • Managing case docketing, entering all pleadings into AJACS Case Management software using the correct event codes.
  • Process E-filing documents.
  • Managing the scanning of all documents into ONBASE.
  • Managing the compiling of files for the courtroom calendars.
  • Performing other administrative duties, such as filing, photocopying forms, scanning in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Case setup to include creating labels for files.
  • Compiling and organization of court records.
  • Pull and prepare court files to ensure they are complete for court hearings.
  • Posting courtroom calendars daily.
  • File stamping documents that are filed at the counter.
  • Assist in handing out court forms.
  • Completing record requests.
  • Certify documents.
  • Collecting fees.
  • Issue subpoenas.
  • Issue Marriage licenses.
  • Acts as an acceptance agent for passports.
  • Entering transmittals bound over from the Justice Court.
  • Filing scanned documents in the correct files.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D. and two years of legal clerical experience or an equivalent position. Postsecondary education related to the development of legal clerical skills may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
