The clerk will work with attorneys, legal assistants, and the calendaring team to track filings, service of process, and court notices. Responsibilities File complaints, pleadings, motions, and other documents through state court e-filing systems and federal CM/ECF. Review submissions for signatures, exhibits, formatting, and court-specific filing requirements. Track filings through acceptance, resolve rejections promptly, and save file-stamped copies to the case file. Coordinate service of process, follow up with process servers, and track service status and proofs of service. Review court notices and filing confirmations, then promptly communicate hearing dates and potential deadlines to the calendaring team and handling attorneys. Assist with calendaring hearings and deadlines, verifying dates against court orders, notices, and applicable court rules. Maintain an accurate filing and service log and provide updates on pending matters. Qualifications Experience filing in California state courts and federal courts, including CM/ECF. Experience with InfoTrack, PACER, and Westlaw . Familiarity with service of process procedures and follow-up. Experience calendaring litigation hearings and deadlines. Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills. Plaintiff-side employment litigation experience preferred.
