The Part-Time Tennis Court Maintenance Attendant is an on-site position at Feather Sound Country Club responsible for maintaining Feather Sound's tennis courts, equipment, and surrounding tennis facilities to ensure safe, clean, attractive, and high-quality playing conditions for members and guests. This position performs routine and preventative court maintenance, including sweeping, rolling, lining, watering, grooming, and inspecting court surfaces; maintaining nets, windscreens, fencing, walkways, seating areas, and water stations; and assisting with the upkeep and minor repair of court-maintenance equipment, irrigation components, and related machinery. As well as maintain all machinery used to groom and repair courts, along with all other machinery and tools used to keep the facility in top condition. The Tennis Court Maintenance Attendant works closely with the Director of Tennis and Tennis Professional staff to monitor and communicate court conditions and ensure the tennis facility is properly prepared for daily play, tournaments, member events, and changing weather conditions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain court surfaces to include, but not limited to adding Har Tru, magnesium or calcium as needed, watering, rolling, inspecting for algae and weeds, raking and cleaning and periodic maintenance of windscreens and fences, cleaning tennis walkways around tennis courts. Inspect and repair court lines Blow off court lines and cement blocks after sweeping and before watering Respond to member inquiries and requests, resolve member service issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manor Provide and replenish water on the courts Adjust and repair sprinklers, timers, and drainage lines Maintain nets Remove trash, clean foot sweeps, check ball return, clean water fountains Stack and store furniture for inclement weather Clean tables and chairs, repaint as needed Assist with daily tennis operations as directed Communicate court conditions to administrative and pro staff Tune and fuel all machines and other equipment Replace parts and perform other minor repair duties to keep machines in operating condition\ Order and maintain supplies: including machine parts, court light bulbs, cups, and any other required items Deliver machines to repair shop and pick up when ready Able to play tennis and support various member events throughout the yea Ability to handle phone responsibilities: confirming member participation in an event, calling to create interest in new/upcoming programs, etc. Assessment of court drainage

Physical Demands:
The physical demands and work environment described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Work is performed predominantly outdoors on tennis courts and throughout the surrounding tennis facility. Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, humidity, direct sunlight, rain, wind, and changing temperatures. May work on wet, uneven, slippery, or clay court surfaces and must exercise appropriate caution while performing court maintenance and related duties. Regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, reach, kneel, crouch, stoop, push, pull, climb, twist, and perform repetitive physical movements. Must be able to regularly lift, carry, push, pull, move, and position equipment, supplies, furniture, court materials, and other items weighing up to eighty (80) pounds, with assistance when appropriate. Requires the physical ability to sweep, rake, roll, line, water, groom, and otherwise maintain tennis courts and surrounding areas. Regular use of hand tools, court-maintenance equipment, machinery, hoses, sprinklers, and other equipment necessary to maintain the tennis facility. May be exposed to dust, dirt, clay court material, grass, pollen, fertilizers, maintenance products, and other substances commonly associated with outdoor recreational facility maintenance. May be exposed to moderate to loud noise levels from machinery, maintenance equipment, landscaping activity, and normal club operations. Must be able to safely operate or assist with the operation of court-maintenance machinery and equipment and perform minor equipment maintenance as assigned. Position requires frequent interaction with members, guests, coworkers, tennis professionals, vendors, and management in both indoor and outdoor settings. Must be able to work in a fast-paced recreational environment while maintaining a professional, courteous, and service-oriented demeanor. May be required to work during early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, special events, tournaments, and periods of inclement or changing weather depending upon operational needs. Must be able to respond promptly to changing court conditions, member needs, weather conditions, and operational priorities.
